Every week a group of knitters meet at the Cathedral to knit prayer shawls, which are given to those in need of comfort. Prayer shawls become tangible symbols of love when words can’t be found to adequately express one’s feelings. We knit, have them blessed, wrap them and enclose a prayer.

Our talented group has knitted hats, mittens, and scarves that are offered to our Salvation Army Meal Ticket Program participants, and during the Christmas season to children and adults in need.
